Nouri al-Maliki’s return would damage Iraq

Coverage of the Iranian-brokered deal between Nouri al-Maliki and Muqtada al-Sadr has focused on fears that Iranian influence is eclipsing US power in Iraq. But the threat to the US is exaggerated.
